Panna: Video Recipes & Classes App Reviews

The idea is a good one if it can be pulled off well. There are definitely videos in which the camera does not know where to focus or it is too far away. So at times, it is difficult to see the technique the chef is demonstrating. Overall though, I am learning a lot from the variety of expert chefs. The iOS app and full internet site are quite glitchy though, I had to go through a frustrating series of support emails that took a few days to remedy the problem. My login would not allow me full access to my paid subscription content and kept redirecting me to begin a free trial while only offering previews and blocking access to the full recipes. The app is short on links and options to manage the subscription or to get information about your account. Hopefully, the technical issues will not happen again. As far as video quality goes, I would hope that that would improve as well. It was worth a try for a $19.99 year subscription.

I have been using this app for quite awhile. I preferred when it was a video magazine format, but the current format is fine. I use it all the time when planning to make something new and exciting. They have my favorite chefs as well as learning of new ones. Like the video playback and having the recipe listed on the same page. I highly recommend Panna!

Weve been using the app on our Apple TV, 3 different iPads and iPhones with no issues. The content is rich with great recipes and video that can teach an old cook a thing or two.

Preview got me to bite and purchase but trying to get app to work was pretty frustrating. I finally gave up. You can only devote so much time attempting to get app to function.

Best cooking app on the App Store. Please keep it coming. Im happy to support.

I had done the free trial when it first came out and was not impressed. Recently they offered half price and because their app works on Apple TV I ordered it. They have come a long way. I have watched quite a few videos and the range and quality is much improved.

I have subscribed for the entire year and I am finding that I cannot log in to the iPhone app after repeated tries--even with the right password. When it does work, it forgets your login. Horribly frustrating.

They ruined what used to be a decent app when they moved from a bi-monthly magazine to whatever the mess is they have now.

Incredibly helpful for a novice cook, with a nice mixture of easy and showstopper recipes. Theres absolutely no reason to not download this.

Snapshot: Subscriber for 3yrs or so and its only gotten worse. Content is great - Only had one recipe that was a flop out of the very many Ive tried, but I fear I may give up my subscription due to the glitchyness. More in depth: Its become almost unusable. The thing I liked was the security that the recipes were good. My attempts have been consistently impressive even though Im not the worlds best cook. Which is reassuring when trying new recipes for friends or colleagues. I always worry when trying free recipes off of the Internet and even some cook books I have can be hit or miss. These recipes always turn out tasting gourmet. I love the videos and most of the personalities of the chefs. Great variety. I like that they started adding in some quicker "weeknight" ideas and the international options. Despite all this praise, I find it all but unusable at this point, and have noticed I avoid opening because I frequently end up wanting to throw my phone at the wall. Its just plain unreliable. The kicker was being at the store & scrambling to find an alternate plan before guests arrived - because the crashing was so bad I couldnt access the ingredients list. Cooking should be fun using Panna has become stress.

I bought a subscription for this app November 24. It expired January 1. I do not recommend this app to anyone. Its a fraud.

I really enjoy using the Panna app- its easy to use and the recipes are diverse and wonderful. Especially a fan of the videos; cooks teaching their OWN recipes, with explanations along the way. Keep it up!

Three stars for the concept and possibly the content (havent been using it long enough to see how vast the database is). The app is terribly buggy though. It keeps reloading and changing what you were currently looking at. Please fix that.

Horrible support the app it self is ok signed up for 30 day free trial at the end of trial the subscription was cancelled but still they charged me for a full year subscription then proceeded tell me through email there is no way to refund and all transactions are final so if you plan on just trying out this dont they will rip you off as far as Im concerned they stole the money from my account

I just recently subscribed to this app! But already love watching and learning from the videos! Also love the diversity of the cuisines from which you are able to choose.

Truly wonderful, easy and useful app. Theres endless recipes to explore whether inexperienced or avid cook.

Great app! Use it regularly to figure out the age old question- whats for dinner? Really like that I can stream the videos to my Apple TV. TVs in the kitchen, I can watch & cook along. Best use of $$ ever.
